Salt Water Medicine is a music project set in motion at the end of 2011, stirred and inspired by the sense of freedom and vitalising energy experienced by six weeks of travel and voyage earlier that summer.

On my return, still enthused and galvanised I picked up my guitar and a pen and began writing about the people, places and experiences of my journey and soon music and songs unravelled. Hurriedly, I started to record and demo these sounds in my home studio, fearful that the muse (as she often does) would leave as quickly as she had arrived. Fortunately the wellspring of inspiration kept flowing and I had the idea to ask some musical friends on board to help collaborate with the process.

Soon enough, Salt Water Medicine was conceived and the project was underway and the writing and recording of a full length debut album entitled, “Montenegro” ensued. It has taken nearly two years to keep the muse alive and the inspiration burning to fully realize this collection of songs through good times and bad but the odyssey has come full circle and now the album is complete.

Think of it as a 'Stereophonic Travelogue' and take the trip!
